The full version of this app consists of 145 images with optional spoken words and text, providing “s” practice through auditory bombardment or flashcard drilling. A fun and visually appealing matching game keeps users motivated to practice their articulation while they play.
Articulate /s/ was created by an ASHA certified and licensed speech-language pathologist. It is suitable for those who omit the “s" sound, substitute another sound for the "s" or produce it in a distorted way, such as with a lisp. Use the app to address the phonological processes of fricative stopping, stridency deletion, cluster simplification and final consonant deletion. The various phonetic contexts provided include:
